The Indie Alley is a space for... Work-at-Home Moms

If you’re like us, The Indie Alley might be for you. We’re a group of Work-at-Home moms who were living the work-life balance dream. Wake up to work at 5:30 am, coffee in hand. Cook breakfast, drive one kid to school, come home and work some more, hit mute on your conference call when your toddler throws a tantrum, run a forgotten lunch to school, work, cook dinner, then work some more… you know, that work-life balance.

Located in downtown Fairfax, at 69 Bolinas Avenue, The Indie Alley is an affordable, comfortable and flexible space for however you work, whenever you work. Whether that means typing away on a laptop in one of our cozy nooks, working with a colleague in our lounge area, focusing on a solo project at one of our work tables, or stretched out with materials in our maker/ meeting room, we’ve got the space (and free coffee) for you.

If you work while the kids are at school, in the evenings after you put them to bed, or over the weekend when you can catch up, on a regular or somewhat erratic basis, we’ve settled on three membership options to cover all those possibilities.

The Indie Alley was started by Fairfax mom Steph Harty. She gathered a few friends who were in the same boat to build The Indie Alley. Like many of us Marin Moms, we’ve had to carve new paths for our careers once we added kids to the mix.

As the concept of The Indie Alley flourished, we expanded our offerings. We’ve added special events and socials to build community and create a space for creativity. We’re always open to new ideas and we’d love to hear yours.

We encourage people to come visit The Indie Alley – come meet us, take a tour, or bring your laptop and try the space out for free. We look forward to meeting you!
