To kick of our 2019 Feminist Culture Club, we’ll be discussing Tamara Jenkin’s Private Life currently showing on Netflix. This poignant film is about a long-married couple’s quest to have a baby through adoption or IVF. It’s wonderfully well acted by Paul Giamatti and Katherine Hahn and is so cleverly written, that while it deals with a serious topic, it remains entertaining. We loved this movie. There’s so much to talk about.
Creative Talks with Bridget Quinn, author of Broad Strokes: 15 Women Who Made Art and Made History (in That Order)
Join us for a morning of art history and creative encouragement as Bridget Quinn talks about her recent publication, Broad Strokes: 15 Women Who Made Art and Made History (in That Order), followed by a Q&A.
We're partnering with Play-Well on a special free demo of their Spring class, Girl Powered Engineering using LEGO.
We're hosting a special Holidays edition of our Creativity Loves Company sessions and we’ll be doing that thing that some of us love and some of us quite honestly hate, gift wrapping. We’ll provide the materials and some festive cheer, you bring your gifts, and over the evening we’ll get all those presents beautifully wrapped.
For this final meeting of the year, we’re handing over to you. We want to hear what female-produced content you’ve been reading, watching, listening to, and thinking about over 2018. So come armed with the answers to just three questions: what you’ve loved in 2018, what your guilty pleasure has been, and what you are looking forward to in 2019. See you at Culture Club!
