An Evening with author Alison Hart on her debut novel Mostly White

Join us for an evening with author Alison Hart as she reads from her startling debut novel, Mostly White, followed by an audience Q&A. Throughout this sweeping and compassionate novel, Alison Hart’s unforgettable characters struggle with racism, poverty, and how to honor the call of their ancestors while forming their own identities. Mostly White unflinchingly examines facets of America’s difficult past—and the many ways this past pervades our present. Navigating the Crossroads: Reinventing Yourself in Your 40s and 50s // Part 2: Aging

Join us for an intimate workshop with the Spiritual Fitness Method, who will guide you through this life stage and help you work towards alignment!

This period of life can be incredibly challenging. We hear about the midlife crisis and menopause, but these terms tend to minimize the real struggle associated with this phase. The reality is that many of us are struggling with our professional lives and goals, the aging process, keeping all of our most important relationships healthy, and making the time to do the things that rejuvenate us and fill our spirits. Despite these challenges, this life stage presents an enormous opportunity for growth and ultimately great happiness and satisfaction. It takes introspection, intention, and often some wise guidance.

Either sign up for the three-part series, covering career, aging and relationships, or choose to attend the workshop that best fits you.

For our June, Feminist Culture Club, we’ll be discussing Girl, Stop Apoligizing, the book that became a New York Times Bestseller that became a phenomenon. This is the ‘How’ response to Hollis’ book Girl, Wash Your Face, and gives actual strategies for taking ownership of your life. It’s a goal-setting manual, a pep talk, a self-help guide, a talk with a best friend, and a reminder to who you are, all rolled into one. We’re slightly in love with it. We think you will be too!
