The Lunar New Year, celebrated in cultures around the world, is about gratitude, food, family and celebration.

This celebratory New Moon also brings an opportunity for creativity, growth and potential—a time for setting intentions. You can think about it like this, New Year Resolutions attempt to plant a stake in the ground, to make declarations but they may carry a sense of unworthiness, that we might not be measuring up in some way, and need to be “more” of something else.

Intentions are more subtle, however. More flexible. They act like cardinal points on a compass or a rudder in the river; they give us direction through the landscape of our life/year. They come from within—an uncovering of our own innate qualities — rather than something we try to “get” from an external source.  Resolutions make statements, intentions ask questions.

If you didn’t get a chance to state your intentions yet for 2019 — now is a good time to do so. This evening we’ll be setting our intentions for the year, and how to stay connected with them as the months progress.

This fun and creative evening will be led by Suzanne Christine.
